Adult Literacy & English Language
In partnership with Literacy Volunteers of Somerset County (LVSC), SCAP offers free, personalized English instruction for adult learners. Participants receive one-on-one tutoring and can join conversation groups to improve reading, writing, and speaking skills for everyday life, work, and civic engagement.
Program Highlights:
- One-to-One Tutoring: Tailored lessons to help learners reach goals like employment, citizenship, and family engagement.
- Conversation Groups: Practice everyday English in a supportive setting with topics like healthcare, job readiness, and U.S. culture.
- Citizenship Prep: Focused support for those pursuing U.S. naturalization, including civics study and interview practice.
